User-Interface Design
The user interface is the way the user interacts with the game which can be through peripherals ranging from a mouse to motion controllers but refers also to the information that appears on a screen. The user-interface will use high-resolution vector fonts, be virtual reality specific where the UI will exist as objects in the virtual world — also known as spatial UI — as opposed to traditional UI which exist on an artificial anvas overlaid on the camera layer.
In addition, the design aim for the game product user-interface was for it to be simple — simple for the player to understand and simple in implementation — yet functional.
The attached image shows the UI flow diagram for the user-interface design which highlights the simplicity of the design. Moreover, it shows that even though the user-interface would be simple, it would still function and perform well.
